Our Story

How we got here

1930-1931
How It Started
Members of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. gathered in Philadelphia, Pa. from December 27-31, 1930 for the 20th Grand Chapter meeting held every year. This meeting was held to discuss the future endeavors of the Fraternity. No collegiate undergraduate chapters established in the year 1930. On December 5, 1931, seventeen (17) charter members of South Carolina State College established – the Alpha Lambda chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi (Southeastern Province).
